Fine Arts Night Brings Our Community Together
You Gotta Have Art
The Polaris family gathered as a community to enjoy a celebration of art and music at Fine Arts Night. Hosted by students under the guidance of Art Instructor Cristie Bosch and Choral/Band Director Mandolyn Barrymore, everyone enjoyed a colorful exhibition of artwork featuring student portraits with their favorite things. Student-made artwork and art buttons were for sale. Kids and families made artwork together and could post their fun and playful responses to the question “Love Is” on a giant heart.
Fine Arts Night ended with a spectacular winter concert featuring kindergarten-4th grade choirs, 5th-6th grade Very Beginning Band, and the 7th-8th grade Beginning Band. Led by Ms. Barrymore, the students sang and performed chestnuts from the American songbook such as Ugly Sweater and Freaky Fantasy. They were fa-la-la-la-la-fabulous!
Kids described Fine Arts Night as cool, fun, friendly, and unique. Everyone loved the art gallery walk and the beautiful music.
Thank you to all the parents and families for supporting our students and for making the sacrifices you did to be at Polaris with your children.
