First Grade Crews Celebration of Learning
Poems About the SUN, MOON, and STARS
First Grade Crews presented their original poems about the sun, moon, and stars to explain what makes day and night. Earlier this year they conducted fieldwork at the Poetry Foundation, where they read and discussed Native American poems about the sun, moon, and stars. Polaris first graders also presented their models of the sun, earth, and moon to explain what causes darkness on earth.
