Crew Cares Day
On February 14th we celebrated Crew Cares Day, a day when all in our community appreciate and celebrate the bond of Crew. Building Crew through acts of compassion for one another is the focus of fun. Polaris student family members–parents, grandparents, aunties, and uncles–greeted students and then spent time in their children’s Crew. Crew Cares Day is also a dress down day. As a symbol of unity, students wore Valentine colors such as red, purple, and pink. Buddy Crews (older and younger students paired together) made art projects and enjoyed snacks together. Valentines were made and exchanged. It was a special day that reminded all of us at Polaris how we are all connected through the bond of Crew.
