PCA Crew 303 visited Clarke House, originally built in the early 1830s by the Clarke family. It has been moved several times and is currently now in the south loop and open the the public. The Clarke House is set up like a family would have lived in the 1850s. This fieldwork gave the 3rd graders an opportunity to step back in time and discover what life was like 200 years ago. Students took pictures of artifacts in the Clarke House that demonstrate how life was different in the 1800s. This work is part of students building background knowledge and historical context of life in Chicago in the past.
