Third and 4th graders can!
In this expedition students will learn all about our school mascot..the polar bear! As we learn all about this wonderful animal, students will also discover the dangers polar bears face due to climate change. We will learn about the causes of climate change, especially focusing on carbon emissions. Finally, we will discuss action steps and ways we can protect the polar bear and our earth. Students will speak with experts that include Polaris’ own Building Manager David Hardin. Last time students worked on this expedition, the school building became much more energy efficient through their energy audit and students were able to adopt 16 polar bears – our school mascot – and ensure their safety in the wild. Polaris is looking forward to the global impact this year’s expedition can make!
